Free Visits
I am happy to schedule a free visit in one of my classes. Please contact me so that I can make arrangements for you to come.

Register Early
Although you may join our classes at any time, please register early since class sizes are limited and many fill quickly. Registering at least 2 weeks before the semester begins also ensures that I will have your child’s materials for you at the first class. If you enroll after the semester begins, tuition can be pro-rated accordingly.

Enrollment Confirmation
A registration form and payment must be received before enrollment can be confirmed. You will receive a phone call or e-mail notice within two weeks to confirm registration. There is a four family minimum enrollment requirement for a class to be held.

Refunds
The cost of materials and a $15 processing fee are non-refundable.  Tuition costs are refundable up to one week prior to the start of the session. I will offer a pro-rated tuition refund if you decide to withdraw within ten days of the start of the session.  After this, there are no refunds offered.

Make-up Classes
Classes will be made up in the event of teacher illness or inclement weather.  I will notify you of the cancellation and the scheduled make-up day.

If you cannot make one of your regularly scheduled classes, you are welcome to join in on another class during that session.

Making the Most of MUSIKGARTEN Classes
Plan to arrive about 5-10 minutes early for class. Arriving a little before class provides time for your child to settle in to the musical environment as they prepare to enjoy exploring instruments, reading books, or listening to music. We do request that toys be kept out of sight, and that snacks and juice cups be finished prior to class. Be sure to dress comfortably.

During class, the most important thing you can do for your child is to be an active and patient role model. It is not uncommon for a child to attend several classes before feeling comfortable in class. Don’t be discouraged - what a child is absorbing in class is often evidenced in the comfort of your home rather than in a certain level of participation in class. The understanding and consistency of the parent or caregiver in class and at home is key to facilitating musical learning and growth.

When you are an active, focused, enthusiastic participant in class activities, your child will model your actions and focus more fully. There is always 15 minutes of free time at the end of each class for you and your child to freely explore materials and visit with others in the class. You and your child will enormously benefit from the MUSIKGARTEN experience, especially if you make active use of your family packet. Frequent reinforcement at home throughout the week makes all the difference in a child’s comfort and participation in the classroom.
